A group of students and faculty from the ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) degree program recently participated in a panel interview for a nationally known podcast related to topics in physical therapy.

Two students and two faculty members from the Doctor of Physical Therapy department were interviewed for the a podcast hosted by physical therapist and communications professional Jimmy McKay, D.P.T.

The podcast was started in 2015 with the belief that β€œthe best conversations happen at happy hour.” McKay created the podcast to keep practicing physical therapists informed about developments in the field and to share inspiring stories from students and professionals.

McKay came to ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ’s Portland Campus for the Health Sciences in mid-October to record the podcast and featured Ava Embrey (D.P.T., ’27); Kaden Hersel (D.P.T., ’25); Amanda Benner, PT, D.P.T. ’11, assistant director of clinical education for the D.P.T. program; and visiting lecturer Michelle Collie, PT, D.P.T. The group gathered at Portland’s Rising Tide Brewery following the taping. The episode, β€œLive from the ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ,” aired on Oct. 25.

"It was so much fun to be a part of the β€˜PT Pintcast,’” remarked Jennifer Audette, PT, Ph.D., associate professor of physical therapy at ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ. β€œThe energy in the room was terrific, and the panelists represented ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ in such a positive way. It's great for ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ to be one of the few schools represented in the β€˜Pintcast’ lineup."
