ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ ranked top osteopathic medical school for primary care among med schools nationwide

U.S. News and World Report has named the ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ College of Osteopathic Medicine the top osteopathic medical school for primary care among medical schools across the country.

β€œIt’s no surprise that ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ’s medical school is being recognized for its leadership in primary care,” said ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ President James Herbert. β€œAs the top provider of physicians for the state of Maine, we take great pride in preparing our medical students for careers in the specialties most needed in Maine, northern New England and beyond, such as primary care, geriatrics and general internal medicine.”

U.S. News ranked eight osteopathic medical schools in its annual list of best medical schools for primary care. The rankings are determined using the number of students entering primary care specialties upon graduation, as well as surveys from medical schools, test scores and average GPA.
