ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ geriatric research presented at worldβs largest international conference on aging

Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D., of the ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ College of Osteopathic Medicineβs Division of Geriatric Medicine, presented four research projects at the International Association for Gerontology and Geriatrics World Congress, the largest worldwide conference on aging.
This yearβs conference was held in San Francisco, California. It was the first time in 30 years the International Congress was held in the United States. The theme was βGlobal Aging and Health: Bridging Science, Policy and Practice.β
Gugliucci gave four presentations. Two oral presentations included the, β48-Hour Hospice Home Immersion Project: Innovative Medical Education Researchβ during a paper session titled, βUnique Perspectives in Understanding End-Of-Life Care Experiences.β She also co-chaired a symposium in which she presented, βGerontological Competencies, Program Development, and Accreditation For Gerontology Education.β Two poster presentations included, βIn-Home Balance Improvement and Falls Prevention Programmingβ and βThe Mentoring Switch: Two-Way Mentorship Program.β The abstracts for each presentation were published in the International Association for Gerontology and Geriatrics journal, Innovation aging.
