Michael Burman, Ph.D., associate professor and director of the K-12 Outreach program in the Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences, was interviewed by the Dana Foundation as part of a series for Brain Awareness Week.

Burman talked about efforts to expand Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ’s K-12 education efforts during Brain Awareness Week. He said that the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences devotes an entire month to brain awareness, staging a variety of outreach activities to promote brain safety and STEM education. The hallmark activity during that month is the Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ Brain Fair, which will be held on April 8, 2016.

During the interview, Burman also discussed the most effective Brain Awareness Week events with students, future events the community can look forward to at Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ, and how Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ is promoting brain awareness globally.
