Barry Costa-Pierce, Ph.D., Henry L. & Grace Doherty Professor of Marine Sciences at the ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ, chair of ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ’s Department of Marine Sciences and director of ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ’s Marine Science Center, was invited to speak on a panel at the conference, β€œOcean Technology in New England and Atlantic Canada: Promoting a Network of Collaboration,” held at the Canadian-American Center at the University of Maine.

During the panel discussion, titled, β€œMarine Food, Aquaculture, and Resource Utilization,” Costa-Pierce presented on current and future science partnerships between the ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ’s marine programs and institutions, organizations and scientists in Atlantic Canada.

The conference was sponsored by the University of Maine, the Consulate General of Canada in Boston, TD Bank and Maine Sea Grant.
