Fire safety drill for ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ resident assistants covered by WGME TV-13
ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ welcomed members of the City of Biddeford Fire Emergency Services department to campus August 19 for a training session that allowed resident assistants for the upcoming academic year to practice proper fire safety protocols.
The event, which was coordinated by the ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ Office of Safety and Security and the Office of Student Affairs, was the subject of a report on the evening news.
Using nontoxic smoke, the firefighters turned Padua Residence Hall into a βsmokehouseβ so that students could practice evacuating a dorm under smoky conditions. Students also had the chance to try on some of the firefightersβ equipment and to tour the inside of a fire truck.
