Journal Tribune publishes feature on ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ's plans for hockey rink

The (Biddeford) on April 25, 2011 ran a sports feature on ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ's plans to build a $10 million hockey rink as part of its Harold Alfond Athletics Complex. 

"Scheduled for ground breaking later this Spring, the Complex, which will [also] provide a new home for ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ’s varsity basketball teams, is the latest in a series of major undertakings by the university aimed at revving up its NCAA Division III athletic program."

β€œWe’re trying to take ideas and concepts that other institutions and rinks are using,” said Curt Smyth, ΒιΆΉΒγΑΔ’s Interim Athletic Director, β€œand incorporate that into our plans. We’re very comfortable with the plans that we have now. We feel that we’re going to have a first rate building when we finish.” Hockey Coach Brad Holt and Director of Campus Planning Alan Thibeault were also interviewed for the story.
