New book chapter and book review from Anouar Majid

Anouar Majid, Ph.D., director of the Center for Global Humanities, has an essay titled β€œNaming Terror” in a book titled Islamism:  Contested Perspectives on Political Islam, edited by Richard C. Martin and Abbas Barzegar and published by Stanford University Press. The book attempts to shed light on the uses and misuses of the term β€œIslamism.”  Majid’s review of Lawrence Rosen’s Varieties of Muslim Experience: Encounters with Arab Political and Cultural Life (University of Chicago Press, 2008) was published in the American Ethnologist (Volume 36, Issue 4). His book, We Are All Moors, was also cited in an article titled β€œThe New Inquisition,” written by the novelist Laila Lalami, published in the Dec.14, 2009 edition of .
